GFOI Event: Enhancing forest monitoring through global collaboration

From November 25-28, the Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) and its lead partner, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), are hosting a livestreamed event on the evolving context of national forest monitoring.

From November 26-28, the event will feature a South-South knowledge exchange under the Aim4Forests program, with more than 120 participants from 15 countries gathering at FAO’s headquarters in Rome to share lessons and experiences and discuss forest monitoring for transparent commodity value chains. On November 27, the Forest Data Partnership will be presenting on data governance and data sharing, capacity development and meeting demand-side requirements for forest monitoring.

Registration for virtual participation is still open. Register here for the main event on November 25 or to watch the livestream. Register here for the knowledge exchange sessions on Transparent Commodity Value Chains (November 26-28), including the Forest Data Partnership presentation.
